Founder and CEO
Kabrena Robinson was born and raised in the picturesque parish of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, where her passion for storytelling was nurtured from an early age. Deeply influenced by the rich cultural traditions of Jamaican folklore and oral storytelling, she developed a lifelong love for writing. From participating in national essay competitions at the age of six to performing original poems at speech and drama festivals, Kabrena has always been driven by a desire to express her creativity and share her stories.
She holds an Honours Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Humber College in Toronto, where she honed her skills in storytelling, research, and communication. Over the years, Kabrena has built a diverse portfolio as a journalist and freelance writer, with a focus on topics such as culture, race, and societal issues. In addition, she has gained valuable expertise in research, copyediting, and social media management, further broadening her professional skill set.
As a mother to an adventurous and spirited daughter, Kabrena is constantly inspired to dream up new ideas and bring them to life. Her love for storytelling extends beyond her personal projects, as she is passionate about helping others discover their voices and pursue their writing dreams. Through Eva-Michelle & Family Publishing, she leverages her extensive experience and creative vision to guide aspiring authors on their journey to becoming accomplished storytellers.
